HAIR ACCESSORIES – THE EASIEST WAY TO DRESS UP YOUR HAIR
Are you in desperate need to find some hairstyling inspiration for the Holidays? It’s completely normal to feel like you’re stuck in a rut from time to time, and it can be especially challenging to get an extra festive spin on your hair if it’s short or you’re growing it out and it’s not the length you’d quite like yet. Fear no more, there is an easy way to upgrade your look no matter what length your hair is.
Hair accessories – the easiest way to dress up your hair
I’ve been having a lot of fun lately trying out different hairstyles and paring them up with different accessories. They can be a lot of fun no matter your hair length, long, medium or short. It can also turn out to be a quite handy solution and give your hair that extra something if it’s too short for versatile styling and you want to look different than your everyday self. You can for example add an elegant headband to a pixie cut if you’re really in need to change things up 😉 There’s nothing wrong with taking the easy way out with longer hair and simply adding an accessory to your loose locks. Or you can make a special hairstyle and add an accessory to compliment it and give it an elegant touch.
Let’s take a look at some of my favourite options.
Twisted updo with golden hairband
Gold headband from H&M. This style is super easy to do. Put on the hairband an inch from your hairline and then twist the front sections to the back and pin in place. Then take several sections below from each side, twist and pin in place with bobby pins. This kind of updo works very well on bob length hair as well.
Add a cute hairband to your loose locks
There are tons of headbands to choose from so you’ll most definitely find something that will fit your style. I couldn’t find a link to this particular one in the online store, but I also bought it in an H&M store in Spain 🙂
Tucked in chignon with flower hairband
I think this is my favourite because of how cute and romantic it is and most importantly, easy and quick! You can transform yourself into a fairy tale princesse in matter of seconds! 🙂 You simply put on the hairband and tuck all your hair around it. Usually there’s no need for bobby pins even. This flower headband from H&M definitely won’t strain your budget! 😉
Messy fishtail braid with silver hairband
This silver headband (H&M) gives this messy fishtail braid an extra festive look 🙂
The easier than it looks 5 braid updo with a decorative comb
This example shows that you can take an already elegant style and “upgrade” it with a decorative element (comb from Glitter) for a special occasion (like upcoming Easter 😉 ) It looks more complicated than it is, but thankfully I already did a tutorial for it in this post and you can watch the video below.
These are just a few examples of the hair accessories I was able to get my hands on. I mostly used hairbands, but that is far from the only option out there. You’ll be able to find things for every budget. While I was scouring the internet last night for different hair accessories, I came across this lovely comb by Wedding Belles New York. And how about these gorgeous pins by Anthropologie! Aren’t they just lovely?
