EASY SPRING HAIR IDEAS
As of yesterday spring is officially here! I don´t know about you, but there is something about this season that makes me excited, hopeful and full of anticipation. While saying goodbye to colder weather, hats and scarves, it´s time to spring your hair to life! 😉
Easy spring hair ideas
EMBRACE YOUR NATURAL HAIR TEXTURE
For some much needed hair revival it would be a good idea to reduce the use of hot tools! Messy hair is still in, so don´t worry about styling it to much! Wether your hair is straight, curly or wavy, or neither (like mine LOL), there are products that can enhance our hair texture and help it dry naturally. You can always just style the front that frames your face, put some salt spray in it, crunch it, rough it up and you´re all set! Here I spritzed a little Bumble and bumble surf spray while shaking my head (after it dried), just so I could get a mist spread more evenly in my hair. It gave me tons of more volume without making my hair feel too rough or loose its shine:
Or you could spritz your hair even more with it and go for that really messy beach hair look, that probably won´t go out of style for a long time.
Another great way to avoid heat is to embrace some easy updos or half updos.
Buns are always cute and they are a great remedy for bad hair days! For the easiest version just gather your hair into a high ponytail and twist the pony around it´s nape and pin into place with bobby pins. If your hair is shorter, don´t worry, both small and bigger buns are cute! 😉 If you want, you can use a donut filler, like I demonstrated later in this video on easy lazy day hairstyles, or you could use extensions. In the above picture I´m using my Halocouture Extensions Ponytail.
EASY TWISTED BUN
I achieved this full looking bun on my short hair without using extensions! Divide your pony into several smaller sections, twist each section, then grab a hold of just a tiny strand of that section and push the rest of it up, towards the nape of the pony. Hide the ends and pin in place with bobby pins. It´s really easy! If you prefer a low bun and you´re a fan of braids, you can try this elegant low bun with double braided headband tutorial I did a while back.
BRAIDED HALF UPDO
If you like half updos and braids, you can try this. It´s easier than it might appear. First, section off hair in the crown and tie it in a pony, leaving out hair on the sides:
Then braid the hair on the sides into lace braids, where you´ll add in hair only from the hairline and from above the ear. You can braid the whole front or you can leave out some face framing pieces:
Then wrap both braids around the pony and twist it all into a bun. If you´re not sure how to create lace braids, you can check out my tutorial in this post.
Which one of these spring hair ideas is you favourite?
I´d love to hear from you 🙂 Have a great hair day lovely!
