30+ BEAUTIFUL BRAIDS FOR SHORT HAIR – DAY 25 – THE ZIG ZAG BRAID
Update: The 30+ Beautiful braids for short hair ebook is here!
We are at day 25 of the 30 braids for short hair challenge! This is that type of hairstyle that looks so much more complicated than it actually is! Pretty cool if you ask me;)
The complete style with the fishtail braid will be better suited for hair that’s already shoulder length, but you can also finish it off with a simple messy bun, a short low ponytail, or you can leave it as a half-up style. Let’s have a look.
30+ BEAUTIFUL BRAIDS FOR SHORT HAIR – DAY 25
It will look like you have a whole lot going on there, when in fact the only thing you did are four regular 3 strand braids! Almost regular, they have a twist 😉 What’s the twist you ask?
Leave one of the strands thinner than the other two, then braid it normally. After you finish braiding, pull on the edges of only the thicker strands. This is what will create that Zig Zag effect.
I like to tie the two top braids together with a clear elastic and pin the remaining lower braids to the back of my head with bobby pins, tucking the ends underneath the braid.
If you have enough length, you can braid the rest of the hair into a fishtail braid. Don’t have the time? You can also do a quick 3 strand braid and pull out the edges for more volume!
